Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour sugar and salt in food processor (or bowl). Cut in butter until mix is course and crumbly. Press into 11×7 baking dish. Bake for 15-18 minutes.
On the stovetop, in a saucepan, melt 1 Tbsp butter, chips and corn syrup. Stir over medium heat until all ingredients are melted and combined. Add mixed nuts and spread evenly over the cooked base. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until edges are bubbly. Cool and then cut into squares.
