Butter Cookies (Cookie Press)

• 2 cups (4 sticks) butter at room temperature
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 4 cups flour
• Icing and stuff to decorate with

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Cream the butter with an electric mixer. When nice and creamy gradually add sugar and beat until light and sugar is completely incorporated, several minutes. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract. Beat in the flour 1 cup at a time until just mixed. Watch the dough carefully to make sure it doesn\’t get too dry or crumbly. Place dough in the cookie press and press out onto cookie sheets. When using a cookie press it helps to use cool cookie sheets.

Bake about 8 minutes-watch closely. Bake until just cooked, before thee cookies begin to brown.
