Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Beat together the butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour and salt and beat at low until dough forms. Stir in pecans. Form 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. While still warm roll cookies in powdered sugar. After they cool, roll cookies in powdered sugar a second time.
