There should still be some small bits of butter. In a small bowl mix together egg, vanilla and cream. Add to flour and pulse until just combined, again, don’t overmix.Dump dough and pat out to form a rectangle about 1 1/2 inches thick. Cut into triangles or squares. Top with chocolate chips if you must (leave a few plain ones for those of us that prefer jelly, please!). Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Tops should be lightly browned.
